Four steps from tip to payout.

STEP 01

You send the tip

Fill in the form below with the restaurant's name and a contact person. Takes 60 seconds. You don't need to have spoken to them first.

STEP 02

We reach out

Within one business day we confirm the tip is registered to you. We never mention you as the source unless you want us to, discretion is default.

STEP 03

They become a client

When the restaurant signs an agreement with us (minimum 3 months), the tip is marked accepted. You get an email immediately.

STEP 04

The money lands

Within 14 days of the first monthly invoice, we pay out the commission, in cash, as a discount on your next invoice, or as a donation to your choice.

  • Who can refer?+
    Anyone. Existing customers, industry colleagues, suppliers, consultants, friends of restaurateurs, or just someone who happens to know a head chef. You don't need to be a Stafflab customer to refer.
  • How is the commission calculated exactly?+
    We take 5% of the client's first full monthly invoice (after any trial period). If 5% is less than 5,000 SEK, you get 5,000 SEK instead. Examples: 80,000 SEK invoice → 4,000 SEK at 5%, but you get 5,000 SEK (minimum). 200,000 SEK invoice → 10,000 SEK (5%).
  • When is the payment made?+
    Within 14 days after the new client pays their first monthly invoice. We email you when the payout is processed and attach a commission statement for your bookkeeping.
  • Does the referral count if you're already in contact with the client?+
    The referral counts if we don't already have an active dialogue with the client at the time of the tip. We confirm this within one business day after you send the referral, if the client is already in our pipeline, we tell you openly and the tip doesn't count.
  • What if the client only stays one month?+
    Commission is always based on the first monthly invoice, regardless of how long the client stays. Our minimum contract is 3 months, so it's rare for a client to terminate earlier.
  • Do I need to tell the client I'm referring them?+
    No. Discretion is default, we never mention you as the source when we contact the restaurant unless you explicitly want us to. For many in the industry this is essential, and we respect it.
  • Is the commission taxable?+
    Yes, the commission is taxable income. For individuals referring, the amount is paid out gross and you report it yourself. For companies, you invoice us for the commission, we send instructions when the tip becomes a deal. Donations to charity are tax-free for you.
  • Is there a cap on the number of referrals?+
    No. Refer as many restaurants as you like, each accepted tip earns its own commission. We have people in our network who have referred 5–10 clients in a year.
